Mark J. Korte, CPA

is a principal of Scheffel & Company, P.C. and co-manages our Highland, Illinois office, providing accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting services. His client work includes final review of audited, reviewed, and compiled financial statements including analysis of various financial statement ratios and planning and preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, not-for-profit, fiduciary, and estate income tax returns. Mark is proficient in helping clients in a variety of industries, including manufacturers, construction contractors, government, health care professionals, long-term care facilities, and retailers. Mark serves on our accounting and auditing team, which implements and maintains our firm’s standards and practices to ensure that our clients remain in compliance with new accounting and auditing pronouncements. He is very active in several civic organizations including past-president and current board member of the Highland Area Community Foundation, serving on the St. Joseph’s Hospital Board, membership in the Highland Rotary Club. Mark is also a member of the BDO Seidman Alliance Construction Industry Group Executive Committee and the Construction Financial Management Association.
